Ron Cooper
In 1947 at the age of 17 Ron was apprenticed to A.S. Gillott Cycles in London.
From 1958 until he left to set up Ron Cooper Cycles in 1971 he was the ONLY builder at Gillotts. He started building Gillott frames again in the late 80s early 90s for the re-launched Gillott concern.
Ron carried on making special order frames under his own name as well as the occasional decaled Gillott right up to his death after an accident in 2012
