Henry Burton

Founded in Stafford in 1950 by Henry Burton and his wife Joyce, who became national road race champion in the same year before going on to represent England in events in France, Over the years the company flourished, with Henry as the main frame builder.


Henry Burton Cycles remains a family company - after leaving school in 1968 son, John Henry, also a very successful amateur racing cyclist, worked alongside his parents until Henry passed away in 1978. John’s wife Julia joined the business and now their daughter Cheryl is involved in the general running of the business which has, in recent years, concentrated on custom built cycles.
