Fanini

Lorenzo Fanini started business selling bicycles in the late 1950s in Lucca Tuscany. Lorenzo began making a few frames for local riders as well as putting the Fanini name on frames bought in from larger frame builders like Grandis and ALAN.

His son Brunello became a well known Team Manager and race organizer, and one of their most famous sponsored riders was Mario Cippolini.

Brunello’s daughter Michela was the Italian National road champion in 1992 and winner of the ladies Giro d’Italia in 1994 before her untimely death in a car accident later that year.

Bici Fanini is still a successful bicycle shop in Lucca.
