Ciocc
In 1969 at the age of 27 frame builder and pro team mechanic Giovanni Pelizzoli founded Ciocc in Curno Italy. Pelizzoli ‘s nickname was Ciocc (local dialect for "poker faced" thus the Ciocc badge of four aces in a cross formation).
He sponsored many riders, and one, Claudio Corti won the 1977 U23 Worlds on a Ciocc at San Cristobal, Venezuela, hence the name of their signature model. Reportedly many pros rode repainted Cioccs in the 1980's.
Pelizzoli continues making steel bicycle frames in his home town Curno today
