KE75 Equipe

1986

In 1986 Greg Lemond won his first Tour de France riding for Bernard Hinault’s La Vie Claire team, generally credited with being the world’s first cycling super team. They rode LOOK bikes specially built with Reynolds 753 tubing and Campagnolo and sporting the Mondrian colours of their iconic jerseys.

This bike is one of only 500 frames specially made by LOOK to commemorate Lemond’s ’86 Tour victory. It remains the only steel frame made by Look who were pioneers of carbon frame construction throughout the 90’s and into the noughties.

It is equipped with 1st Gen Campagnolo C Record groupset with Cobalto callipers which were hastily issued in 1986 when the Delta calipers were withdrawn for a redesign following safety concerns. Every other detail is as per the LOOK team bikes including the 1st Gen LOOK pedals as ridden by Lemond and Bernard Hinault and 28 spoke Ambrosio Synthesis rims.
